DIY Fluorescent Light Socket Replacement 101

Tired of that annoying flickering in your fluorescent lights? Are buzzing sounds driving you a little crazy? Chances are, your light sockets need a refresh! Replacing them is surprisingly easy, and it can save you from the frustration of a poorly lit room. Let’s get started!
What you’ll need:
- Replacement fluorescent light sockets (make sure they match your fixture’s type)
- Screwdriver
- Wire cutters/strippers
- Safety goggles
Remember: Always turn off the power to the fixture before you start!
Basic Steps:
- Remove old sockets: Gently unscrew and detach.
- Cut wires: Carefully snip the wires close to the old socket.
- Strip wires: Strip a small bit of insulation to expose the wire.
- Attach new socket: Match wire colors and twist securely (or use wire nuts).
- Test: Turn the power back on and enjoy your flicker-free light!
